Thesis Title: How the Buddha Taught: Exploring Pedagogical Aspects of the Buddha's Teaching
About
My background is predominantly in Asian philosophy and American pragmatism via William James. After completing a Master's degree at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale [thesis above] I began the EALC program at UIUC. I am researching ecology in Japan and the role [Japanese] Buddhists play. As such my interests include a variety of religious and ecological topics: agribusiness, sustainability/resiliency issues, food politics, animal rights, medieval and contemporary religion, etc.
