About
I am a recent graduate of the University of Illinois doctoral program in philosophy. My primary research interests are in the philosophy of science, metaphysics, and inductive reasoning (including probability theory) and my dissertation was focused on the laws of nature. Other research interests include applied ethics, ancient Greek philosophy, and the philosophy of literature.
I've taught courses in informal logic and scientific reasoning, formal logic, ethics, and introductory philosophy. You can find my complete course notes for these classes in the "Teaching Documents" section. Feel free to contact me within any questions or comments.
When I'm not doing philosophy, I enjoy reading classic and contemporary fiction, watching the Vikings and Twins, running, and cooking.
